About Gill:
Gill was born in Sumter to a Mom from Clarendon County and a Dad from Williamsburg County. He met his now wife, Kristin, in the 6th Grade and they graduated together at Wilson Hall. They are thrilled to now have two of their own children attending Wilson Hall. He began his legal career clerking for Justice George C. “Buck” James. He then worked as a public defender in Clarendon and Lee counties before moving on to prosecution in the midlands.
Gill is a partner at the Moore Bradley Myers Law Firm and specializes in criminal defense. He manages their Sumter office. He has been voted Columbia’s Best & Brightest and Legal Elite in the field of criminal law. He is a graduate of the South Carolina Bar Leadership Academy and an active board member on the South Carolina Criminal Defense Lawyers Education Foundation. He has been a faculty member at the Richard Scott Joye Trial College. For nearly a decade, he has also volunteered his time towards South Carolina Treatment Courts in an effort to improve rehabilitative outcomes for substance addicted individuals.
Foremost, Gill is a trial lawyer. He has prosecuted and defended cases in front of juries at every level of our court system: Municipal, Magistrate, Circuit and Federal Courts. As a prosecutor, he was mentored by some of the most talented prosecutors in the state: Solicitor Rick Hubbard, Judge Shawn Graham, Deputy Solicitor Suzanne Mayes, and Rhonda Patterson. Gill successfully convicted numerous murderers, traffickers and illegal drug manufacturers. As a defense lawyer, he has defended high profile criminal clients while remaining an ally of state and federal law enforcement.

Gill was born, raised and educated in Sumter. He married his Wilson Hall classmate Kristin Bell who is a local OBGYN. They have two children that enjoy getting to visit their cousins through Williamsburg and Clarendon counties.

Gill’s goal is dramatic progress in the Third Circuit. The crime and prosecution statistics show a desperate need for that change. Gill will not stop working until this community is safer through effective prosecution.
