Service

I want to continue a legacy of service to our communities. My grandparents farmed Williamsburg and Clarendon to provide food and textiles. My mom compassionately cared for our elderly at local nursing homes. My dad has taken care of everyone's favorite pets for nearly 40 years in Sumter. My father-in-law has saved countless lives as a local emergency department physician. My mother-in-law has literally helped our loved ones get back on their feet as a local physical therapist. My wife has fought and cared for women and children as a local OBGYN. I want to serve my community as they have - prioritizing the safety of my neighbors in the Third Circuit.

Accountability

Crime is not a black problem. It is not a white problem. It is not about the rich or the poor. The young or the old. Crime is a community problem and we must work together as a community to attack the cause and not just the symptom. We must hold ourselves accountable for the ever-growing violent crime rates in our Circuit. As your Solicitor, I promise transparency regarding how we handle cases and the statistics behind not just our successes, but also our failures. That accountability will ensure we are constantly striving to be better.

Progress

I was raised that complacency is the enemy. We must always strive to better ourselves and our loved ones. I hope to apply that same philosophy to our Circuit as your Solicitor. There are so many excellent community intervention tools, rehabilitation programs and trial presentation tactics that I intend to explore and adopt that I firmly believe will make a significant positive impact on our community and the efficiency of the Solicitor's Office. I will always hold reverence for the traditions that got us this far - but we have so much further to go.
